Hello, Kris!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Can you please supply an un-modded world where you are experiencing this issue?

• You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
• Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thanks for the switft response.

I've only had the game a week and I've really enjoyed it. but without being able to detect ores, the games unplayable.

I've turned off all mods, only like 5, mainly hud colorizations and the nano bot build and repair mod.

I did have an ore detection mod that extended the range to 1k for large grids, but I turned this off still same issue.

I can restart a new world and ore detection is working, both with/without the mods installed. my current world shows no ores.

Hello, Kris!

Thank you for the save. I agree, I also can't see any ore being detected. Just to confirm, this was a modded world that stopped showing ores? Did it ever show them? I'm trying to establish if using the mod possibly caused the issue but it is not reverting back for some reason.

Yea, it was previously modded. it worked before. It had been working while I made a base etc on earth. After building the ship I have now me and my friend set off to the moon, once I arrived, no ores where being detected.

The mods did work previously on earth. However I would notice a small bug were ores still showing even outside of the detection range, namely around my base with the large detector. ores would show much further than they should at least 5k away from testing.

However this didn't really prevent new ones popping up as flying around the world.

Only now once I have reached the moon there doesn't seem to be any showing.

I've tested with removing the mods and reloading

I've tested turning the ship on and off. Cutting power to the detector and antenna, reloading the game and then switching power back on, this didn't work either.

I really hope there is a solution for this

Ore Detector +

is the mod I was using from the steam workshop to extend the ore range, this was working until I arrived at the moon.

A friend told me to try, Long-Range Ore Detectors, again from steam workshop. this didn't work either.

these where tried separately. but the issue started before trying the long range ore detector mod.

I have just double-checked on this because we do not help with modded worlds and always ask for mods to be removed/not involved in any testing. I appreciate this is no longer a modded world. We believe that one of the mods broke something to do with the ore detection. After removing the mod, the save is still broken in this sense. Due to this, we wouldn't look to fix the same as we would assume a mod created the issue. Please create a new world. I would suggest blueprinting anything in the current save file to make it easier to transition into another save instead of having to build everything again :)
