Arcane Lineage is a hardcore turn based combat game, specialize into classes, power up through battle and vanquish strong foes as you travel between the lands. In this game, you’ll get to form parties and together fight your way through victory and progress.

As you play, you will find out that there will be lots of ways for you to progress depending on which classes and races that you choose. In this tier list, we’ll show you the best races in the game that you will want to obtain for easier progression.

S Tier

Veneri: This race is currently the best one you can go for. The Racial Ability – Burst Trap is the best in the game and does a lot of damage. This lets you place a trap ahead of you, which activates once anyone tries to physically attack you.

Upon reaching level 40, you’ll unlock your Wealth Scramble Passive. This consumes 5-10% of your gold randomly to gain a random stat buff based on how much gold was consumed, stats you have high investment in are weighted higher. This makes the class better as you reach end-game.

Dullahan: This race is indeed the best race for early game progression. You’ll unlock all of your passives and abilities at level 1! Your ability, Ghostflame, allows you to throw a ball of fire, dealing low ranged damage and applies Ghostflame (a 5% damage burn for three turns).

Your passives are Extra Life (giving you an extra life, making the race have a total of 4 lives). You will also have Fire Resistance, making you more resistant to fire. The last passive you have is Buffed Essence, giving you a 30% essence gain. With this extra essence gain, the race is able to progress much quicker compared to other races.

A Tier

Drauga: This is your second best race to go for in Arcane Lineage. Your Racial Ability unlocks at level 10, allowing you to create an illusion over yourself causing the first enemy to attack you to be trapped in a cage of illusions. Overall, this race is good for you to progress with.

You will also receive three passives you can utilize, you’ll get the two first ones at level 1 and the third passive at level 25. Critical Lifesteal (Lv. 1), gives you health upon landing a critical hit. Bloodlust (Lv. 1) gives you a small stat buff upon defeating an enemy. After you reach level 25, you’ll get an enhanced version of Bloodlust.

Corvolus: This is the best race with mage since the race has 2.7x arcane damage, has cast amplify, arcane ritual and good passives. Cast Amplify (Lv. 1), empowers your Magic, Holy and Dark attacks by 25% for three turns. Arcane Ritual (Lvl. 40) causes you and your allies’ magical affinity attacks to have a chance of being empowered, and boosts the recovery of allies.

You’ll get two passives at level 1. They are Quick Learner, which allows you to obtain class skills 3 levels earlier. The other is Energy Gain, which gives you a chance to gain 2 energy instead of 1 at the start of your turn.

Daminos: This is a pretty good race for you to go for since it have very good passives and abilities. Your racial ability – Restructure (Lv.5) – lets you heal a target over time. This ability also gives the target medium passive regeneration for three turns.

You will have two passives that you can use. The first one is Dragon’s Undying Soul, which gives you a small passive regeneration per turn when under 25% of your maximum HP. The second one is Extra Life, which gives you an extra life. This makes you have 4 Lives compared to 3 lives of normal classes.

B Tier

Vastayan: This class has multiple racial abilities and passives you can utilize. Upon reaching level 5, you’ll unlock the Call Slyph Racial Ability. This allows you to summon a spirit at level 5 that scales with arcane, with the summon having 15 HP. You are able to control it during its turn, which means that you will have 2 turns. Your first move of the spirit will cost no energy. However, the other moves will cost you 2 energy and have an AOE effect. The effect does more damage than the first move but has a cooldown of 6 turns, while the first move has no cooldown.

Upon reaching level 40, you’ll unlock Spirit Awakening. This allows you to empower yourself, granting you a modifier and empowering your spirits at the risk of hurting yourself after the duration. When you reach level 20, your summons will be tankier. Overall, this class is good for your early game progress and deserves to be in the B Tier.

C Tier

Estella: This race is alright for you to use. In general, Estella does not have too many passives. She only has one passive – Hyper Rage, which unlocks at level 35. The passive triggers when you are under 25% of your maximum HP, giving you a damage increase.

Nisse: This class has one Racial Ability (Energy cost, Recharge Time), which unlocks at level 15. Your Circuit Charge Ability allows you to fill your energy gauge by 3 but makes you vulnerable by sacrificing your health. The class’ passive gives you a chance of making extra potions.

Stultus: Overall, this race is decent for you to use. The race focuses on speed with Focus Step (Lv. 10), increasing your speed for three turns. Your next ability is Vanishing Drive, temporarily increase your speed to its peak. Your passive will also give you a small speed increase modifier.
