So... I ran Poorjoy's in a party earlier today. It did not go well; we got wiped within a few rooms. I lost 7k life with endurance charges in about a second due to getting a little careless about surrounding mobs, and I still don't know what was doing that much damage, or why. Is it just that the 150% more damage is that hard to compensate for? Everyone else pretty much got one-shot - I asked around and nobody knew quite what hit them when they died. Who has tips for surviving this map? I refuse to admit defeat - the immortal explosion doesn't quit that easy. Warding flasks, maybe? How much damage does Vulnerability even tack on? Anyone who has beaten this map have any pointers?` Luna's Blackguards - a guild of bronies - is now recruiting! I suspect that the life and damage affixes "stack" for the Detonate Dead spell of the Mortality Experimenters, making it deal tremendous amounts of damage. That explains the one-shots... you just died due to not paying attention and looking at loot. A suggestion might be to change the map's damage affixes to "+% increased monster spell damage" and "+% increased monster attack damage," which would mostly achieve the same effect but give Detonate Dead only a single boost. Either that, or just take out the Mortality Experimenters. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. " Probably something in the vicinity of 33% More. Magic + 140-160% Inc Damage + 33% More Damage, on a monster that already deals a decent amount of damage. Endurance Charges ran out a while ago too. They had to hit you a fair couple of times, but they hit so hard you got stunned to sh*t. The... Cycloner? that went in and died before you did was similarly pummeled. Took a couple hits to get him down, but there were still a bunch of dudes in there so it didn't take a lot of time. --------- Last edited by Vipermagi on Sep 10, 2013, 11:12:28 PM |

Well, I'll see if I get another chance at it. Lesson learned: pick up loot after clearing map. Also, I think this is a bit of a design flaw. Given the massive quantity and rarity bonuses, your map is going to be completely cluttered by loot. And when it takes only a few hits in that map to kill even the tankiest of builds... Not good. I cleared it with my glass cannon character http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6NDGUi0iho&feature=youtu.be I was totally unprepared, because i usually use abyssus, and removed it since it was impossible with it,and i had a random 200ES unlinked helm,so i played the map, with my second most important attack(frenzy) unlinked. The map is rediculous, and propably the hardest map in the game, save for creamtorium or shrine double bosses(still i am not sure they are harder). In order to survive you either have to be recilously tanky,or have extreme DPS with istant leech. That being said i beleive that u would have propably cleared the map if you were more carefull(leaving loot for the end and dispelling vulnerability the moment you got it) https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/417287 - Poutsos Flicker Nuke Shadow |

you run 2 aura by yourself anger and wrath thats it the moment you left the party you took heavy dmg no determination no purity ect koams has low armor i believe 600 something no shield means no armor i estimate your armor round 5-6k thats basicly nothing in a 71 map btw why no immortal call having it on skillbar is one thing not using it is another :) https://poe-ssf.herokuapp.com/. Join the fun. Last edited by ventiman on Sep 11, 2013, 8:32:52 AM |

" I have Blood Magic, and I don't really have the slots available to spec into the gem variant, so I can't really run Discipline. I try to compensate for my armor with Immortal call, but I'm still getting used to having it on as often as I can. Also, I only run Wrath. I would run Grace if I could, but I just don't have a single open slot. Luna's Blackguards - a guild of bronies - is now recruiting!
