Chapter Three Walkthrough[]
The House[]
Let’s see what Chapter 3 brings us! When stepping ahead leading ourselves by the enlightened path, we will see a small wooden house with a lamp next to the door. This is our new checkpoint station now.
After we enter the house, there will be 2 notes left on the table from Joan and a tape with the continuation of Officer Mills’ journey. Don’t forget to check them out if you are interested in the Story of the game.
Now, let’s check the fire places which Joan mentioned in her note.
The Bonfire[]
This is the bonfire place, where you can listen to the warm sounds of the flames coming from it. If we have read the notes from the house, we will know that these places act as a safe zone for the next monster – Wickerman. While staying near the fire, the player will be protected from him, as he is afraid of any fire sources. Well, we are now aware of Wickerman and his weaknesses, what’s next?
The Haunted House[]
This is the place where the main task comes. Here, you can explore the old house as much as you want, but keep in mind that most of the doors will be locked. Let’s see how to open them step by step:
1. On the first floor we can see a photo of some sort of a writer on the table next to the main hallway and at the end of the room you will see a drawer. There we can pick up our first key – the Hall key.
2. On the second floor we will see a lot of locked rooms, but when turning on the left side, you will see a long hallway. Here we choose the left door of the floor – The Hall room. This is the bedroom where our Pantry key can be found.
3. Going down to the first floor again, we enter the last room on the left and there we can find the third key on the wooden shelf – Charles’s room key.
4. Going back on the upper floor, let’s check the second door on the right side of the hallway. That’s the bathroom where our fourth key lays. That’s Charles’s drawer key, so let’s check his drawer.
5. When exiting the bathroom, we will need to turn left where Charles’s room is located. Inside, we can grab our Kitchen key and further continue our investigation.
6. We have one more locked door on the first floor – the door right next to the stairs – the Kitchen. Hard to be seen at first, but if you look closely, you will be able to find the sixth key called Master bedroom key, stuck in the skull’s mouth.
7. Our journey ends on the second floor with our Master bedroom being on the right side of the hallway and the left door. After we unlock the room and enter inside, we won’t search for more keys until we open the next door.
8. The last (Study) key you can find on the large painting. Let’s grab it and enter the creepy room.
Here, we will see a well-made study room with few desks and a big bookshelf in the middle between the two doors. Let’s see what happens when we pull the green book on those shelves.
Something hit the ground! Let’s check what that was after entering the door on the right side. There we will see a staircase. Could it be leading us to the attic?
Welcome to the abandoned attic, full of scary furniture. When searching through the spooky attic, we will find an old book and a mystic dagger. What will we need them for?
The Effigies[]
After we read the old book, we can understand that we will have to find 3 effigies to create the hex for the crypt door. There we will also find the special ceremonial dagger, which we will need for the final ritual.
We can look for them in the woods, close to the houses and near the main paths.
The Graveyard[]
After we destroy the effigies, we can lead ourselves to the Crypt door to open it. In front of us, we can see a graveyard filled with gravestones. Check them out, you may see familiar names there. In order to open the Crypt door, we will use the previously mentioned ceremonial dagger.
When the door opens, we go inside where the floor suddenly collapses under our feet and we fall into the darkness.
And this is the end of Chapter 3….
but what’s next?
